As Somaliland's cities experience rapid growth, the need for structured, sustainable, and smart urban development has become more urgent than ever. In response, Geosol has developed a powerful suite of Urban Planning Systems built on GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology to support local and national planning efforts.

These systems allow municipalities, ministries, and developers to visualize, plan, and regulate land use across cities like Hargeisa. With tools for zoning, infrastructure layout, construction permits, and environmental monitoring, our platforms help ensure urban expansion is guided by data, not guesswork.

One of our key collaborations is with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPWH), where we implemented a digital planning platform to manage farm and land registration, streamline planning approvals, and identify public land allocations. This system reduces duplication, increases transparency, and aligns development with Somaliland’s national urban policy.

The platform also integrates with Geosol’s other systems—such as land registration, address portal, and GIS mapping—to create a unified digital framework for governance.

With Geosol’s Urban Planning Systems, Somaliland can ensure that its cities grow in ways that are organized, efficient, and sustainable, while empowering government bodies with the tools to manage development legally, fairly, and effectively.
